I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 23 years old (that’s a loooooong time…). At this juncture being an entrepreneur basically means that I’m unemployable. LOL. And being that there are well over 100,000 OMG fans I thought it would be a good idea for each of us to know about other moms in the OMG community who offer products &/or services that we could benefit from. So I’m launching “Mompreneur Mondays”! Every Monday I will feature an OMG mompreneur on my blog & share that blog post on Twitter & Facebook. This is strictly editorial, meaning it’s not a paid placement. I imagine that there are a TON of mompreneurs out there that we all need to know about & my goal is to feature all of you!
Today I’m fe
aturing mompreneur Adryenn Ashley who has founded of many successful ventures including Red Carpet Results. After you read Adryenn’s story (& her gift for her OMG sisters) you can scroll down to see how to submit your info to be featured as an OMG Mompreneur!
Me: “How long have you been an entrepreneur? Was it before/after you had your son?”
Adryenn: “I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 7! I used to custom make headbands and sell them to the dance shop! I have had several W2 jobs, but always come back to working for myself and building a business that helps other business grow and thrive. Like during the recession of the 80s, I helped small businesses get off paper and pen for accounting and off typewriters and onto computers. This free’d up their time to support the sales staff, bringing in more business, so they didn’t have to lay anyone off.”
Me: “When did you realize what your calling is? Can you share your OMG moment?”
Adryenn: “There have been so many “OMG” moments: My first commercial, my first tv pilot, my first movie production that got me a ton of awards, my first client signing a multi-million dollar deal (OK, that was awesome! I was like this proud mama bear gloating over her cub)! For the past several years my “ah-ha’s” have been on behalf of my clients. I just see exactly what they need to do and viola, when they do it, it clicks and they hit, big time. I guess you would say that is my calling. And I love introducing people! When a client says they need something, very soon thereafter, someone magically appears and that’s the just right person! So tell me, what do you need?”
Me: “What are your personal challenges with wearing the mom hat & business owner hat?”
Adryenn: “I only have 24 hours in a day. I’d like to spend hours playing with my son. They say the grass is always greener, right? I fantasize about being a housewife (with a housekeeper and a personal chef, naturally). But I know I’d get bored. I can’t help being who I am and loving working with people who are out to change the world. But for a week or two, it might be nice to have no deadlines…”
Me: “How do you give back to the community?”
Adryenn: “I’m on the board of several non-profits, working to preserve the rights of families and children, and to provide much needed leadership and self-esteem skills to underprivileged youth. My company Wow! Is Me is in the process of setting up a foundation just for kids, to develop and teach confidence building programs so that when the cutest boy in school comes over to talk to you, you don’t stammer, druel, and run off crying (like I did as a kid!). I’m active in the homeschool community, am now officially a soccer mom, and am the alumni president of my high school class!”
Me: “If your son could describe you in one word, what would it be. Okay, you can use more than one word, but you get the picture.”

Adryenn: “Tonight he described me as “fat”, no not the cool “phat”, just the ordinary kind. I think normally he’d say I was “awesome”. It’s one of my favorite words and I have passed it down to him. Pretty soon I’ll have him cheering right along side me!
“A-W-E–S-O-M-E! Awesome we are, and awesome we will be! Hey Hey!”
Me: “What piece of advice would you share with fellow mompreneurs?”
Adryenn: “You can’t do it all on your own. At some point you need to build a team around you, delegate as much as possible, and start strategically growing your business, so going to work becomes optional. We all started our business because it was a passion, but it is time to make that passion profitable! Because ladies, YOU ARE WORTH IT!”
Adryenn is hosting her live event, Red Carpet Results this weekend. You can participate in person or via web stream! Being a big supporter of women succeeding in business and as a very active member of OMG, Adryenn is offering a huge discount to other OMG mompreneurs who register in advance. Use coupon code OMGWine to receive 90% OFF. Scholarships are also available & info is on her website. THANK YOU ADRYENN for your generous offer!
If you would like to be featured as an OMG mompreneur, please submit a brief, single paragraph bio, a recent headshot & answers to the following questions. And be sure to share OMG I So Need A Glass of Wine with the world! Send your submissions to christine@omgisoneedwine.com. Cheers!

I’m looking forward to reading all your submissions! Publicity is an entrepreneur’s best friend and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for some great media endorsements along the way and referrals from those who believe in me & my products & services the most!
Cheers to your amazing success!
Christine

The response to Mompreneur Mondays has been impressive so far. I’ve already received quite a few submissions in less than 24 hours, so I’ll have my work cut out for me! This project is going to give me one more way to connect on a personal level with the OMG tribe.
